About me

My name is Tracey Delphia and I am a member of the Essex Selectboard. I also serve Essex as an elected Justice of the Peace (JP) and am a former member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment. I have lived in Essex since 2017 with my husband Brad and our daughter Isabella.

Growing up in a small town where my father was a volunteer firefighter and council member, I strongly believe in the importance of service above self. I have always given to others, whether through student government while at Castleton State College, as a past President of a Home Owners Association, serving on the Planning Commission and as a JP in South Burlington, or my involvements here in our Essex community.

Professionally, I am an IT Manager with the State of Vermont. I am experienced in process and project management, contract negotiation and oversight, and competitive bidding processes. I am a Certified Public-Sector Manager, having graduated from the Vermont Certified Public Manager Program (VCPM) in June 2020. To learn more about this program, please visit National Certified Public Manager Consortium®/American Academy of Certified Public Managers® – Curriculum (cpmconsortium.org). Since beginning my career with the State of Vermont in 2005, I have been actively involved with the Vermont State Employees’ Association (VSEA). I am a past member of the Board of Trustees as well as the Non-Management Unit Bargaining Team.
